Progress

Our little shack continues to grow. It has gone up very quickly.

The guys were back on May 13th to do the framing.
May 14th for the roof trusses and the particle board.

May 15th the particle board went up on the roof and the shingles were delivered.

This photo is from May 19. Shingles complete. Tyvek up and flapping in the wind. These days have gone slower as it has been raining. Those boys didn't wait long before declaring a rain day.

Today. May 20th. Siding is up on much of the garage. They have also put door knobs on. The tarp went up because in the few days that there has been a roof three robins nests have been found in our rafters. They are trying to keep them out.
While the garage has been under construction Logan has taken on a few other projects.

The Deck:
He flipped all of the boards over and sanded them. We screwed them back down, stained and created new stairs. Logan's creative idea of running the stair down the full length of the deck. Someday (when there is more money to throw at the backyard we will redo the deck. It needs it badly! But somehow I think we have spent enough this year). Fence:
Logan has also been ripping down the crappy old fence. The fence that we used to declare at the beginning of every Bocce Ball game "You knock out a fence board you buy a new section". It has come down in a big pile. New pressure treated boards have gone up and are secured in place (unlike the last fence which was held up with a wing and a prayer and a bit of tension from a 1x1 board). We will be able to reuse the fence section that were put up around the parking pad that came down for the garage.
