For Stef

Stef has requested a picture of my face with my new hair colour.
Here you are.

WestJet, WestJet, Ra Ra Ra...

Well, I have a job. It has been a while. But I am now a "WestJetter". I started with them on Monday and it was the best brain washing seminar I have ever been too. They sure believe that they are the best and do a really good job of convincing anyone in earshot of the same!

Monday was all about learning about the company and getting excited about it and for it.

Tuesday was an intense day of learning a new computer program.

Today we had our first test. (I got 100%).

There is tons to learn - I guess that is why training is three weeks long!
I feel like I am back in school. And not University, but high school. We are playing silly ice breaker games, memorizing pages after pages of details - and the teacher is giving us all of the answers. But I certainly don't miss the homework or cramming or teachers taking ten years to get the whole class on the same page.

I have a "mid term" exam tomorrow - however we are allowed to bring in a double sized 81/2" x 11" piece of paper with anything on it as a cheat sheet. This should be a piece of cake!

Do blondes have more fun?

So I went to the hair salon yesterday. For the past few years I have gotten blonde highlights to my dirty blonde/ashy/mousy brown hair. But it has been a year since I have gotten the last highlight done and it is WAY grown out! So I went in and asked her to get rid of them. It is the first time I have ever gotten my whole head coloured. We picked a colour that we both thought was close - but golden - not as ashy as my hair could be.

You tell me if this looks like my natural colour.

A little dark. But it is different and fun. So we will give it a whirl. Especially since there are no major events where I have to be seen and photographed.

So I have been a blonde all my life. And now I have really dark brown/red hair. I guess we will see if blondes do have more fun.

A moment to remember

I would like to use this page today to remember my Grandpa.

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by.

May Long Weekend

This past weekend we went out to Invermere BC to my Uncle Gord and Auntie Shelley's cabin. We had a great time. Logan played a game (not a small thing for anyone that knows him), we went out on the boat and climbed a mountain. The water was certainly cold, or so I gathered from the squeels coming out of Uncle Gord, Jason and Logan as they jumped in. Jonathan faired better and went for a ski.

That is us on the top of Mount Swansea. Let me tell you, if you are wondering how out of shape you are - climb a mountain. It certainly kicked my ass.

We had a little sun, a little rain, some great Bocce Ball and a fantastic time. Now that we are so far away from the little cabin in Grenfell we might have found a new place for cabin fun.

Thank you Auntie Shell and Uncle Gord!

My first Blog

I have been inspired. I have been keeping up with my friend Amanda's Blog and am now hooked. I check it every time that I am on the computer and I feel like I am keeping up on her life.

Well, here we are, living 800 kms from our family and friends - why am I not doing this.

So, I have started my own blog.

My blog won't be as exciting as Amanda's and hearing the progress of her pregnancy (if you are interested in her blog there is a link on the right). But I think it will be fun. Our life in our little apartment and all of the crazy and not so crazy things that we are doing.

Here goes.
